12-Step Programs

A variety of 12-step programs use the Parish Life Center for their meetings. Please check with any program you may be interested in to see if they are one of that meets in the St. Andrew’s Parish Life Center or by checking the following link: http://www.district43.com/

Hospital Visits

Clergy and volunteers from St. Andrew’s make regular visits to hospital patients. There is also a Eucharist on the third Sunday of each month at the Foxdale Retirement Home in State College.

Integrity

St. Andrew’s is the only parish in the diocese that sponsors a chapter of Integrity, a national organization dedicated the inclusion of the GLBT community in all aspects of the community and the church. Please visit the “Links” section of the website to visit the Integrity website

Commission for Social Justice

The commission for Social Justice reveals areas where discrimination and injustice occur and brings the healing light of understanding and compassion to issues and persons. Interests of the commission cover issues of discrimination of all sorts, with a current focus on affordable housing.

St. Andrew's Preschool

St. Andrew's preschool is sponsered by St. Andrew's Episcopal Church to meet the needs of parish families and the commnity. This non-profit, non-sectarian preschool has been serving State College families for over twenty years. It has a Christian point of orientation. It observes Christian holidays and strives to nurture a Christian caring behavior. -- getting along with others, developing positive friendshps and becoming part of an empathetic group.

The school is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Private Academic Schools. Programs are provided for children ranging in age from two and a half to five. For more information about the preschool please call the Director at (814)234-0184.
